Jesse holds the NARI "Certified Remodeler" designation and is instrumental in teaching the "Certified Lead Carpenter," "Certified Remodeler" and Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler programs for the NARI Atlanta Chapter. He is Vice Chair of NARI's Education Committee and a member of the International Code Council (ICC) and National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). He holds the "Certified Aging in Place" (CAPS) specialist designation to assist those who wish to renovate their homes for sustainability and accessibility.
Additionally, Jesse has been a HUD approved FHA 203k Rehab Loan Consultant for nearly 15 years. He is HUD inspector # A0742. Many lenders and mortgage brokers use his services to consult on FNMA Homestyle® renovation loans as well.
Jesse has been a featured speaker at the Atlanta Home Show on "Selecting a Professional Remodeler" and "Before You Start a Remodeling Project." In addition, he has performed seminars for lenders and real estate investors on rehab loans and written the guide "What to Look for in a Fixer Upper." Jesse is a featured writer to Atlanta Intown Newspapers and has been featured in the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Atlanta Home Improvement Magazine and This Old House Magazine. The New York Times and San Francisco Chronicle recently featured an article "Calling in the House Therapist" highlighting Renovation Coach assisting a client on a large renovation project in Atlanta.
Jesse was a principal of a successful remodeling company for 11 years, and served as an Account Manager for one of Atlanta's top residential design build firms. Jesse and his wife Linda, a former FHA 203k loan originator, enjoy traveling and spending time in the north Georgia Mountains. They have three children, two currently attending Georgia Tech and "Mimo" their miniature dachshund who is the center of attention in their home.
